This chamber music piece, written by CreArtBox’s resident composer, Andrea Casarrubios, captures the essence of nomadic knife sharpeners navigating the streets of Spain. Originally commissioned by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, this version, adapted by the composer, reintroduces the flute—an instrument traditionally employed by these nomads to lure new clients. Through skillful transformation, it infuses their sounds with heart-shaking melodies and rhythms.
